Clerk Information

The Township Clerk shall be the clerk of the Board of Trustees and shall keep a complete written or printed record in English of the proceedings of the Board. The Clerk shall perform all duties required of the position by law, this Charter and the Board. All contracts, legal papers, correspondence, records and files pertaining to the Township, except police files, shall be placed in the keeping of the Township Clerk.

Clerk’s Duties & Reponsibilities

  • Office Manager of the Administrative Office Staff
  • Keep official minutes of all meetings of the Board of
  • Trustees, Board of Appeals, Planning Commission and Downtown Development Association.
  • Register qualified voters, maintain registration records, oversee absentee voter preparation and the conduct of elections
  • Maintain official records and documents and assists in the preparation of financial documents
  • Maintain official Ordinances
  • Countersign official documents
  • Administer oaths
  • Custody of the Township seal
  • Maintain the General Ledger and Accounts Payable, and reconcile all Fund Accounts
  • Responsible for posting special meeting notices
  • Publishes Board Meeting minutes
